Started by Drs. John Shontz and Katherine Settle of Sanford Animal Hospital , the hospital opened for business in April 1991 to serve the citizens of west Sanford/Lee County and reach into Chatham County as well. The hospital was originally created to provide services for “All Animals Great and Small”. Over the years due to service demands and increasing specialization we have chosen to emphasize the care of our small animal patients and no longer provide services for large animals.
