The Steele Pig is a locally owned and operated restaurant in historic Downtown Sanford.  We are chef-owned by Chad Blackwelder, a Sanford native.  We specialize in Regional American fare with a strong Southern influence.  Our Bistro offers top-notch food and service in a relaxed atmosphere.  We have a full list of beer and wine and a full ABC license. 

Above our dining room we have three banquet rooms for all types of functions.  The Steele PIg offers seasonal and local foodstuffs.  Our menu changes with the season and we feature nightly specials.

Nestled south of Sanford along the Lee / Harnett County line, Broadway was formed in the late 1800's by early settlers coming to the area to distill turpentine, due to the plentitude of pine trees. At that time there was a post office that catered to Harnett and Moore County (some of which is now Lee County). Later farming grew to become the predominant industry of the area. To this day, farming still plays a large role.
